The Chair changes hands, a new addition to the Board, and two longstanding supporters step down
Kim Williams has been appointed Chair of the Cranlana Programme Foundation
Kim Williams, who joined the Cranlana Board earlier this year, takes the reigns from Terry Moran, who served as Chair between 2012–2016. The move caps off a year of great change and expansion on the Board, with the appointments of Anna Spraggett, Martin Parkinson, Tim Soutphommasane, Kim Williams and most recently Christine Christian, Director of ME Bank and an expert in financial services, private equity, investment, credit risk management and digital media.
Also announced was the departure from the Board of two longstanding supporters, Peter Duncan and Professor Gill Palmer. Cranlana Programme CEO Kate Latimer paid tribute to their many years of service.
“Peter commands respect across the corporate world as a decent and honourable man. He is a clear thinker, clever, emotionally fearless and kind. He was a brilliant Chair to work with, and instrumental in navigating the Cranlana Programme to its current successes.
“I will also miss Gill’s steady presence on the Board. Her broad university experience provided invaluable insights into the education sphere, which in turn has influenced Cranlana Programme’s direction. Her enthusiasm for Cranlana is boundless. Gill was the power behind the provocative five-part series, ‘Do I or Don’t I?’ that we ran a few years ago at RMIT and is a great ambassador and networker for Cranlana.”
